220519 Re-release

Found this one sitting on a hard drive and had completely forgotten about it. There was a time I was drawing a minimalist webcomic and writing vignettes in the Wastes—it's exactly the post-apocalypse you imagine, that most imagine, we just can't get over it—and at one point in 2017 through this together.

I have a vague memory of playtesting a few times, but inevitably my group wandered to other, much better systems. Still, for what I think was a day's/weekend's tinkering, it's nice to have something.

Anything new?

Not much, there's a kernel in a heavy effect-laden party, where the puzzle is juggling status ailments as you survive, but if I was writing that today I would scrap most of this and rebuild with that as the focus. There was some gendered wording in the original I'm not wild about, and some words here and there, but for the most part, this was pasted from half a decade ago.

The secondary format is new; I was curious if I could flow the entire thing into a 1-page zine spread, where the character sheet is on the inside for use (with the cut to allow for fold), and it fits pretty tight. More a lark than anything else, but 4/1$ or a 25¢ micro RPG is a cute idea. Dreams of tabling once we're all past our present apocalypse.
